Vegan transitioning to paleo.
This is my I-need-to-cut-for-crew-season blog.
New eating habits this year -- I hope it works.
Learning how to be an omnivore.
Second year coxing.
If you want to be a bodybuilder, that’s cool.
If you want to be a crossfitter, that’s chill.
If you want to do yoga and nothing else, that’s fine.
If you want to swim, that’s cool.
If you want to dance, that’s perfectly fine.
What’s not fine is when you make fun of someone for what they choose as their way of making themselves a better and stronger person.
Anonymous asked: i don't understand why you would transition from vegan to paleo
I had a serious hormone problem that if I had kept eating a no-cholesterol diet (vegan) would have continued to get worse. By the time my doctor and I figured it out, I was approaching the point of being unable to get pregnant if I wanted to…which even though I don’t plan on it anytime soon, is a wake up call for most women.
TMI: My periods are already bad enough, and I really didn’t want artificial hormones being put into my body, so this is an attempt at resolving the hormone imbalance by feeding my body what it needs to produce hormones — cholesterol.
And I’d much rather get that cholesterol from a more natural source (meat) than products like butter, cheese, dairy, etc. After being vegan for 4 years, my body is pretty damn lactose intolerant anyways.
